SC-PEG-SC is a bifunctional crosslinking PEG reagent to react with amine groups, and it is one type of the NHS-PEG-NHS ester reagents. Among all these NHS esters we offer, SC is a very reactive NHS ester. SC stands for succinimidyl carbonate. The NHS ester is attached to PEG through a carbonate linkage and upon reacting with amine, it forms a stable carbamate bond between the PEG and the amine-containing molecule.
